PGeothermal Products Made to Measure

– Manufactured in the Allgäu, Bavaria

Geser Erdwärme has been developing and manufacturing high-quality components for geothermal systems since 1979 – from practice, for practice. Our complete product range covers every stage of a geothermal installation: from drilling and probes to distribution and filling. All products are developed and manufactured to made-to-measure quality at our sites in Westallgäu, Bavaria, or sourced with strict quality controls.

  • Geothermal probes

Geothermal probes are the heart of every geothermal system. Brine circulates through the vertically installed plastic pipes (usually U-shaped), extracting heat from the ground and transferring it to the heat pump. Geser offers probes for all standard systems and depths – in diameters DA32, DA40, DA50 and larger, for single- and multi-circuit systems.
Geser quality standard: All probe materials are subject to third-party monitoring by an accredited institute (SKZ quality mark). System approvals are in place.

  • Ground probe foot

The ground probe base forms the bottom of the geothermal probe – the turning point of the brine flow in the borehole. Geser developed an innovative probe base in 1994. Today the range covers bases for all standard probe diameters and systems, including variants for:
    - Standard EWS systems (single-circuit and dual-circuit)
    - Energy piles (probe inserted by vibration into filled concrete pile)
    - Special requirements for international markets (e.g., d55 1-circuit oval, d63 1-circuit oval for Finland)

  • Probe accessories

Complete range of accessories for the professional installation of geothermal probes:

    - Anti-buoyancy and weighting systems for probe installation
    - Components for pressure testing
    - Probe camera systems for inspections at depths of up to 350 m
    - Probe anchors (GESER probe anchor, developed by Michael Geser, small-series production since 2022)

  • Waterjet cutting

Geser operates a Mach 3b with Dynamic Waterjet technology, featuring a cutting pressure of 4,150 bar and a working area of 2 × 4 m. This enables us to manufacture highly precise seals and components from almost any material:

    - Preventer seals – for sealing boreholes
    - Wellhead seals – for geothermal probe connections
    - Custom seals – including top-wall seals, annular-space seals and wear-resistant rubber components
    - Precision cutting of steel, marble, stone, glass and composite materials

Waterjet cutting services are also available for external customer orders.

  • Assembly aids

Specially developed assembly aids for the safe and efficient preparation and handling of geothermal probes:

    - Flushing trays for collecting drilling fluid

  • Distributor

Distributors combine the flow and return lines of multiple geothermal probes into a common heating circuit. Geser offers standard and vario distributors in various sizes – configurable by number of probes and flow rates.

  • Manholes

Manholes protect the distribution system and must be completely watertight – even under groundwater pressure. Geser manholes are available as:

    - Lightweight design (eco white, eco 480) – fully plastic, for standard small systems
    - Rectangular manholes – for larger distribution systems
    - Round manholes – space-saving, for confined installation situations
    - Submarine manholes – for permanently water-bearing locations

All manholes are watertight; penetrations permanently pressure-watertight sealed.

  • Drilling accessories

Professional drilling accessories for geothermal probe drilling:

    - Drill rods and casing systems for different geological conditions
    - Complete ranges of drill-string accessories
    - Preventers, overflow heads and discharge pipes, including the newly developed rubber-coated discharge pipe for large compressors, introduced in 2022

  • Installation aids

Specially developed installation aids for the safe and efficient installation of geothermal probes:

    - Installation reels, available in standard and hydraulic versions, for the controlled lowering of geothermal probes
    - Guidance and weighting systems for installation in groundwater areas

  • Drilling tools

Professional drilling tools for geothermal probe drilling:
    - Down-the-hole hammers
    - Special tools, including eccentric drill bits, for down-the-hole hammer drilling in solid rock

  • Socket and angle accessories

The GESER SmartTight coupling - Socket and angle accessories (market launch 2009) is a permanently sealed, corrosion-resistant connection system for geothermal pipework – developed in-house by Geser Erdwärme.

  • Brine liquid

Brine is the heat transfer fluid in a geothermal system. Geser supplies certified brine liquids (water-glycol mixtures, frost protection to at least -15 °C) for EWS systems, horizontal collectors and direct evaporation systems. Only approved, environmentally compliant products are supplied.

  • Grouting material and rinsing additives

After probe installation, the borehole annular space must be completely and continuously grouted from probe base to surface (per VDI 4640). Grouting material serves to: thermally couple the probe to the surrounding rock, hydraulically seal and separate groundwater horizons, and stabilize the borehole. Geser supplies approved grouting mortars and rinsing additives meeting all regulatory requirements.
